Introduction

Award points when customers follow your X (formerly Twitter) account from the loyalty widget.

What problem this solves

For brands with a Twitter/X presence, organic follower growth is slow. A points-incentivised follow turns existing customers into followers in seconds.

Before you start

Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store — see Install Yuko on Shopify.
The Yuko Theme App Embed is enabled in your active theme.
Your loyalty program is enabled at Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Settings.
Points label and currency are configured.

Setup guide

Open the campaign

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Earn → Twitter Follow.

Set details and points

Enter campaign name, description and points value (e.g., 10).

Add your X username

Enter your handle (without the @).

Configure expiry (optional)

Set expiry if desired.

Save & activate

Toggle Active and click Save.

How it works

  • The action appears in the loyalty widget.
  • Customer is sent to your X profile.
  • Points are credited on intent.

Limitations

  • Verification is intent-based.
  • One-time per customer.
