Introduction

General settings are the few store-wide preferences that affect every Yuko module. Set them once during onboarding; they rarely need to change.

What’s configured here

  • Store name — used in widget headers, email templates and the Customer Account hub.
  • Currency — inherited from Shopify; overridable for display purposes.
  • Timezone — used for daily checks (e.g., birthday emails) and analytics.
  • Default locale — falls through if a customer has no preferred locale.

Setup

Open General

Go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Account → General.

Confirm store name and currency

Both inherit from Shopify. Override only if you have a clear reason.

Set the timezone

Use your store’s primary timezone — it determines when daily-trigger campaigns (Birthday, Anniversary, Daily Visit) fire.

Set the default locale

Pick the language that maps to most of your customers.

Save

Changes apply within a few minutes.

Best practices

Use your store’s primary timezone, not a developer’s local timezone. Birthday emails go out at the wrong time otherwise.
Match locale to actual usage. If 70% of your customers are French-speaking, default to French; English fallback can stay for the remaining 30%.

FAQs

Loyalty math (points-to-currency conversion, store credit, etc.) is tied to your store’s currency. Overriding it would break the math.
