This quickstart walks you from a fresh install to a live loyalty program. By the end you’ll have:
  • Yuko installed and configured for your store currency.
  • One Way to Earn (Place an Order) and one Way to Redeem (Amount Discount).
  • The Cart Earn and Cart Redeem widgets visible on your storefront.
  • A test customer with points credited from a real order.

Before you start

You have admin access to your Shopify store.
Your store is on a plan that supports public Shopify apps (any paid plan).
Your active theme is Online Store 2.0 — see Theme compatibility.

Step 1 — Install Yuko

Open the Shopify App Store listing

Visit apps.shopify.com/yuko and click Install.

Approve the permissions

Yuko requests scopes for orders, customers, products and discounts. Approve to continue.

Pick a plan

Choose a plan and confirm the Shopify subscription charge.

Step 2 — Configure your program

  1. Login to your Shopify admin and open Apps → Yuko Loyalty.
  2. Go to Loyalty → Settings.
  3. Set your Points label (e.g., Points, Stars, Coins).
  4. Set your Points-to-currency ratio (e.g., 100 points = $1).
  5. Toggle Loyalty program to Active and click Save.

Step 3 — Add a Way to Earn

Open Ways to Earn

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Earn, and click Place an Order.

Configure the campaign

Choose Points per spend, set 1 point per $1, and add a 7-day delay so refunds clean up automatically.

Activate

Toggle the campaign Active and click Save.

Step 4 — Add a Way to Redeem

Open Ways to Redeem

Go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Redeem, and click Amount Discount.

Configure the reward

Set 500 points = $5 off with a $25 minimum order.

Activate

Toggle the reward Active and click Save.

Step 5 — Enable widgets in your theme

Enable the Theme App Embed

Open the Shopify Theme Editor and toggle the Yuko app embed on. See Theme App Embed.

Add the Cart Earn and Cart Redeem blocks

From the Cart template, add the Yuko Cart Earn and Yuko Cart Redeem blocks near the checkout button.

Save and preview

Click Save and open your live cart. Add a product and confirm both widgets render.

Step 6 — Test with a real order

Place a test order

Use a customer account on your storefront to place a small real order.

Wait for the credit

After Shopify marks the order as paid, points are credited automatically (subject to any delay you configured).

Verify in Yuko

Open Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Customers, click the test customer, and confirm the points balance and activity entry.
