Introduction

Partner Nodes hand off the workflow at a specific point to a third-party messaging platform. Two partners are supported in v1: Engati (conversational AI) and KwikEngage (multi-channel messaging).

When to use

  • You already use Engati or KwikEngage for customer messaging.
  • You want loyalty events to trigger conversations or SMS in those tools.
  • You want a unified workflow that includes both Yuko and partner-tool actions.

Available partner nodes

Engati Node

  • Available when: the Engati integration is connected.
  • Action: triggers a specified Engati flow / bot interaction with the customer.
  • Configuration: pick the Engati flow, optionally pass workflow context.

KwikEngage Node

  • Available when: the KwikEngage integration is connected.
  • Action: triggers a KwikEngage event — SMS, WhatsApp, or another configured channel.
  • Configuration: pick the event type, optionally pass workflow context.

How partner nodes execute

  • The node calls the partner’s API with the customer’s data.
  • The partner tool takes over messaging from there.
  • The workflow continues to the next node after the call returns (without waiting for the customer’s response).

Decision guidance

  • Use Engati when you want a conversational flow (the customer can reply and continue the conversation).
  • Use KwikEngage when you want one-shot messages on alternate channels.
  • Don’t replace native nodes — use partner nodes for messaging that’s outside Yuko’s email or coupon native scope.

Limitations

  • Each partner node only appears if the corresponding integration is connected.
  • The workflow doesn’t wait for the customer’s reply in the partner tool.
  • Failures in the partner tool are logged but don’t block the workflow.

Best practices

Connect the integration before designing the workflow. Otherwise the node won’t appear in the picker.
Stay in one tool per channel. If KwikEngage handles SMS in your stack, don’t also send SMS via another integration — it duplicates messages.
