Introduction

Branding and locale settings apply across every Yuko widget at once. Set your colors, fonts and language defaults here so individual widget pages stay focused on content, not styling.

What problem this solves

Without shared branding, you’d have to re-style every widget. Centralised branding keeps the loyalty experience visually consistent with your store and saves time as you launch new widgets.

Where it applies

  • All theme widgets (product, cart, account, landing, launcher).
  • The Floating Launcher panel.
  • The Customer Account hub.
  • Email notifications inherit colors and logo from these settings.

When to use

  • During initial setup, before activating widgets.
  • After any rebrand (new colors, new logo).
  • When adding language support for a new market.

Overview

  • Brand colors — primary, secondary and accent.
  • Typography — inherits your theme’s font by default; can override.
  • Logo / icons — used in widget headers and email templates.
  • Locale — select the active language; or auto-detect from Shopify Markets.

Before you start

Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store — see Install Yuko on Shopify.
The Yuko Theme App Embed is enabled in your active theme.
Your loyalty program is enabled at Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Settings.
Points label and currency are configured.

Setup guide

1

Open Branding

In Shopify admin, go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Widgets → Branding.
2

Set brand colors

Pick your primary, secondary and accent colors. Defaults inherit from your store theme where possible.
3

Upload logo

Add a logo for use in email headers and the loyalty hub. PNG or SVG, transparent background recommended.
4

Pick the locale

Choose a default language. If your store uses Shopify Markets, enable Auto-detect from Shopify Markets to localise per-market.
5

Save

Click Save. Changes apply to every widget within minutes.

How it works

  • Branding settings are stored centrally and read by every widget at render time.
  • Color updates take effect immediately; cached storefront views may take a few minutes to refresh.
  • Locale is a fall-through: per-customer locale wins over store default; store default wins over English.

Decision guidance

  • Match your theme primary color — this is the most common rebrand mistake to fix later.
  • Use auto-detect locale if you sell in multiple markets via Shopify Markets.

Limitations

  • Custom CSS-level overrides are not exposed in the dashboard. Contact support if you need brand-deep customisation.
  • Email branding inherits colors and logo only; full email design is in the Email Notifications section.

Examples

  • A premium beauty brand sets primary to its signature green and uploads a wordmark; emails and widgets match the storefront immediately.
  • A multi-market brand enables Shopify Markets locale auto-detect; widgets show in French for French shoppers automatically.

Best practices

Set branding before launching widgets. Customers anchor on the first version they see.
Use a transparent-PNG logo sized 240px wide for crisp email headers.

FAQs

Storefront caching can hold widget styles for a few minutes. Hard-refresh the page or wait 5–10 minutes.
No — branding is global by design. Per-widget styling is reserved for icon and message customisation.
Yes — emails are sent in the customer’s resolved locale.
