Introduction

The Customer Profile: Point Balance widget shows a loyalty program card with the customer’s points balance on the Profile page of their customer account. It’s the Yuko Profile loyalty program customer account UI extension block, not a theme app block.

What problem this solves

The Profile page is where customers manage their details. A loyalty card there makes the program part of their account, not something they have to look for.

Where it appears

The Profile page in Shopify customer accounts (customer-account.profile.block.render), at the top of the page by default.

When to use

You use Shopify’s customer accounts.
You want the balance visible on the Profile page.

Overview

Two text fields: a title and a point title.
No Styles tab; the block uses Shopify customer accounts styling.
Shows only for customers with a points balance.

Before you start

Yuko is installed on your Shopify store.

The program this widget belongs to is set up and enabled.

The widget is switched on with the toggle on its card in Yuko’s Widgets page (for loyalty widgets, Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Widgets).

For storefront widgets, your active theme is an Online Store 2.0 theme that supports app embeds and app blocks.

Your store uses Shopify customer accounts (Settings → Customer accounts).

Setup guide

Open the widget settings

Go to Loyalty → Widgets, find Customer Profile: Point Balance under Post-Purchase, and click Customize.

Edit the text

Title: default Loyalty program
Point title: default You have earned [point_balance] [points_label]

Save and enable

Click Save. Back on Loyalty → Widgets, switch the widget’s toggle on.

2. Add the block in the customer accounts editor

Open the Customer Accounts editor

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Customer accounts and click Customize.

Open the right page

Use the page selector at the top to open the page where the block should appear (Order status, Orders, or Profile).

Add the Yuko app block

Click Add app block and choose the Yuko block for this widget (for example Yuko Order status earned points, Yuko Order index points display or Yuko Profile loyalty program).

Position and save

Position the block where customers will see it and click Save.

Customer account blocks only work with Shopify’s new customer accounts. Check that they’re turned on in Settings → Customer accounts.

On the Profile page, add the Yuko Profile loyalty program block. See Customer Account Extension for more detail.

Available placeholders

How it works

A logged-in customer opens their Profile page.
The block fetches their balance from Yuko.
If they have a balance, the block shows your title and point title. Customers with no points don’t see it.

Limitations

Works only with Shopify customer accounts; it isn’t a theme block.
The block’s look follows Shopify’s customer accounts styling.

FAQs

Why doesn't a customer see the block?

The block is hidden when the customer’s balance is zero. Also check that the widget toggle is on and the block is added to the Profile page.

I want a full loyalty page in the account

Use the Loyalty Rewards: Customer Account Page widget.

Full placeholder reference

Placeholders are written in square brackets, for example [points_label]. Each text field’s help text in the widget editor lists the placeholders that field supports. Available in every storefront widget text
