Introduction

The Customer Account Extension adds a Yuko Loyalty hub inside Shopify’s new customer accounts surface. Customers see their balance, rewards, VIP status and activity log without leaving Shopify.

What problem this solves

Many loyalty programs send customers to a separate page to manage rewards. With this extension, the loyalty hub lives natively where customers already manage their orders and profile, dramatically improving discovery.

Where it appears

  • The new Shopify Customer Account experience.
  • Both order pages (point balance) and the profile page (full loyalty hub).

When to use

  • You’ve enabled New Customer Accounts in Shopify.
  • You want a loyalty hub without building a separate landing page.

Overview

  • Shopify-native extension surface.
  • Adds the Yuko Loyalty hub block to customer accounts.
  • Works on any paid Shopify plan with new accounts enabled.

Before you start

Yuko is installed on your Shopify store.
New Customer Accounts are enabled in Settings → Customer accounts.

Setup guide

1

Open the Customer Accounts editor

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Customer accounts → Customize.
2

Add the Yuko Loyalty block

Click Add block on the order or profile page and choose the Yuko Loyalty extension.
3

Position and save

Position the block where customers will see it and click Save.
This surface is part of Shopify’s New Customer Accounts. Make sure new customer accounts are enabled in Settings → Customer accounts.

How it works

When a logged-in customer visits their account, Shopify mounts the Yuko Loyalty extension. It fetches the customer’s points, rewards, tier and activity feed and renders them in a single hub.

Decision guidance

  • Enable both blocks (orders + profile) so customers see their balance everywhere they expect to.
  • Use the Rewards Landing Page as a fallback for stores still on legacy customer accounts.

Limitations

  • Requires Shopify’s New Customer Accounts. Legacy accounts are not supported.
  • Visual customisation is constrained by Shopify’s extension surface.

Examples

  • A growth-stage brand replaces a separate /account/rewards page with the embedded loyalty hub, simplifying their customer experience.

Best practices

Add it on day one. Customers expect to find loyalty inside their account; making them hunt for it costs redemption rate.
Pair with a points-balance reminder email so customers click into the new hub.
