Introduction

Yuko adds loyalty to Shopify’s new customer accounts in two ways:
  • Blocks that you place on the Order status, Orders and Profile pages, such as the customer’s points balance or the points earned on an order.
  • A full loyalty page, Yuko Loyalty account page, where customers see their points, VIP tier, ways to earn and redeem, referrals and membership.
You set the text for each in Loyalty → Widgets and place them in Shopify’s Customer Accounts editor.

What problem this solves

Customers already go to their account to check orders. Showing their balance and rewards there means they don’t have to hunt for a separate loyalty page.

When to use

  • You’ve turned on Shopify’s new customer accounts.
  • You want customers to see loyalty where they manage their orders and profile.

Before you start

Yuko is installed on your Shopify store.
New customer accounts are turned on in Shopify admin → Settings → Customer accounts. Legacy (classic) customer accounts can’t show these extensions.
The matching widget is switched on in Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Widgets (Post-Purchase group). The Customer Account Page is available on select Yuko plans.

Setup guide

Add a block

Open the Customer Accounts editor

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Customer accounts and click Customize.

Open the right page

Use the page selector at the top to open the page where the block should appear (Order status, Orders, or Profile).

Add the Yuko app block

Click Add app block and choose the Yuko block for this widget (for example Yuko Order status earned points, Yuko Order index points display or Yuko Profile loyalty program).

Position and save

Position the block where customers will see it and click Save.
Customer account blocks only work with Shopify’s new customer accounts. Check that they’re turned on in Settings → Customer accounts.

Add the loyalty page

Yuko Loyalty account page is a full page, so you don’t drop it into a block slot. Switch on Loyalty Rewards: Customer Account Page in Loyalty → Widgets, then add a link to the page in your customer account menu in Shopify’s navigation settings so customers can open it. How it works

When a logged-in customer opens their account, Shopify loads the Yuko blocks and page you added. They read the customer’s points, tier and rewards from Yuko and the text from the matching widget in Loyalty → Widgets. These surfaces don’t depend on the Yuko App embed. Shopify renders them, not your theme.

Limitations

  • New customer accounts only.
  • Shopify controls the look of customer account extensions. You can change the text in Yuko but not the styling.

Best practices

Add the Profile and Orders blocks together so customers see their balance wherever they land in their account.
Use the Rewards Landing Page for logged-out shoppers. Customer account surfaces only reach customers who are signed in. See Rewards Landing Page.

No. Turn on new customer accounts, or use storefront widgets such as Floating Rewards and the Rewards Landing Page.
Confirm Yuko is installed and new customer accounts are turned on. Open the page the block belongs to (Order status, Orders or Profile), click Add app block, and look for the names in the tables above.
Check that the matching widget is switched on in Loyalty → Widgets and that you’re testing as a signed-in customer.
