Introduction

Award a small bonus to customers who return to your store on a regular cadence. Effective for stores with content beyond products — lookbooks, blogs, restock pages or pre-order announcements.

What problem this solves

It’s easy to optimise for the first purchase and forget about repeat traffic. Daily Visit gently nudges customers to come back and treats engagement as worth rewarding.

When to use

  • You publish content beyond products (blogs, lookbooks, drop calendars).
  • You run regular product drops or restocks.
  • You want to keep customers visiting between purchases.

Overview

  • Reward customers per visit on a configurable cadence.
  • Cadence options: daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Optional URL restriction (only count visits to a specific page).
  • Optional points expiry.

Before you start

Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store — see Install Yuko on Shopify.
The Yuko Theme App Embed is enabled in your active theme.
Your loyalty program is enabled at Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Settings.
Points label and currency are configured.

Setup guide

1

Open the campaign

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Earn → Daily Visit.
2

Set the points value

Keep it small (e.g., 5–10 points). The cadence does the work, not the size.
3

Pick the earning interval

Choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
4

Restrict by URL (optional)

Limit earning to visits to a specific path (e.g., a blog or a drop page).
5

Configure expiry (optional)

Recommended: short expiry (e.g., 30 days) to keep the loyalty economy clean.
6

Save & activate

Toggle Active and click Save.

How it works

  • The widget runtime tracks the logged-in customer’s visit per session.
  • A visit awards points only if the cadence window has elapsed since the last credit.
  • Activity is recorded in the customer’s transaction log.

Decision guidance

  • Keep the value tiny — 5 points daily, not 50. This campaign should not dominate the points economy.
  • Use URL restriction when you have content destinations worth rewarding (avoids gaming via bot traffic).
  • Add a short expiry — daily-visit points should burn quickly so they don’t pile up.

Limitations

  • Requires the customer to be logged in. Anonymous visits don’t earn.
  • The widget runtime must be loaded — ensure the Theme App Embed is enabled.
  • Refreshing the page repeatedly does not stack points; only one credit per cadence window.

Examples

  • A streetwear brand awards 5 points per daily visit to its drops calendar page, expiring in 14 days.
  • A media-led store awards 10 points weekly for any logged-in visit to keep customers in the habit of checking back.

Best practices

Restrict by URL whenever possible. It encodes intent: visit that page, not just any page.
Don’t run this in isolation. It only works when paired with content worth visiting.
