Before you start
Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store — see Install Yuko on Shopify.
The Yuko Theme App Embed is enabled in your active theme.
Your loyalty program is enabled at Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Settings.
Points label and currency are configured.
Setup guide
Open the campaign
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Earn → Subscribe to Newsletter.
How it works
- Yuko detects email-marketing-consent on the Shopify customer record.
- Points are credited once per customer.
- If the customer unsubscribes, the points stay; they don’t reverse.
Decision guidance
- Calibrate the bonus so it doesn’t outweigh other one-time campaigns.
- Surface the bonus on your popup or signup form — customers need to know it exists.
Limitations
- Customers who were already opted in before installing Yuko don’t earn historically.
- Re-subscribing after unsubscribing doesn’t re-earn.
Examples
- 30 points for newsletter subscription, paired with a popup that says “Join our list. Get 30 points.”
