# Floating Rewards Launcher

> A persistent loyalty launcher button visible on every page, opening a side panel with balance, rewards and VIP status.

## Introduction

The Floating Launcher is a persistent button (typically in the bottom-right) on every page of your storefront. Clicking it opens a side panel with the customer's balance, rewards and VIP status.

## What problem this solves

Customers shouldn't have to navigate to a specific page to interact with their loyalty status. A persistent launcher means it's always one tap away — the most discoverable surface in the program.

## Where it appears

* Every storefront page (auto-rendered via the Theme App Embed).
* Position is configurable (bottom-right by default).

## When to use

* You want maximum loyalty discoverability.
* You don't want to manage individual widget placements per template.
* You're optimising for mobile, where a floating button beats inline widgets.

## Before you start

<Check>Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store.</Check>
<Check>Your loyalty program is enabled.</Check>
<Check>The widget is set to **Active** in **Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Widgets**.</Check>
<Check>Your active Shopify theme supports Online Store 2.0 app blocks.</Check>

## Setup guide

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the widget settings">
    Go to **Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Widgets → Floating Launcher**.

  <Step title="Customise the launcher button">
    * Shape: round / square / pill.
    * Position: bottom-right (default), bottom-left.
    * Icon and label.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the side panel content">
    Toggle which sections appear in the panel:

    * Balance
    * Earned rewards
    * Ways to redeem
    * VIP status
    * Activity feed
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the notification dot">
    Show a small badge when the customer has unspent rewards.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate">
    Toggle **Active**. The launcher renders on every page automatically (via the Theme App Embed).

## How it works

* The Theme App Embed includes the launcher script on every page.
* The launcher button mounts in the configured corner.
* Clicking opens a panel that pulls live data from Yuko.

### Decision guidance

* **Use the launcher as your primary discoverability surface** — it's the easiest way for customers to find their loyalty info.
* **Match the button color to your brand** — too contrast-heavy and it competes with your CTAs.

### Limitations

* Position is corner-based; mid-page anchoring isn't supported.
* May overlap with chat widgets (Intercom, Tidio, etc.). Stagger positions to avoid this.
* The Theme App Embed must be enabled — see [Theme App Embed](/installation-and-setup/theme-app-embed).

* A round green launcher in the bottom-right with a star icon, opening a panel with balance + rewards + VIP.

## Best practices

<Tip>**Don't double up.** If you use the Floating Launcher, you usually don't need the Cart Redeem widget on the cart drawer.</Tip>
<Tip>**Stagger from chat widgets.** If you have Intercom, push the loyalty launcher up or use the opposite corner.</Tip>
<Tip>**Show the notification dot.** It's the single biggest driver of redemption rate via this surface.</Tip>
