> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://docs.yuko.so/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Ways to Redeem > Configure the rewards customers can claim with their points, online and at Shopify POS. **Where to find this:** Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Programs → Ways to redeem Ways to Redeem (also called **rewards**) are what customers can spend their points on. Each reward type has its own settings, conditions and customer-facing behaviour. ## Reward channels When you click **Add another way**, the **Ways to Redeem** picker groups reward types by the channel where customers redeem them. | Section | Reward types | Where customers redeem | | - | - | - | | **Online Store** | Amount Discount, Percentage Discount, Free Product, Free Shipping, Store Credit | Your storefront: the cart, the loyalty widgets and the customer account | | **Shopify POS** | POS Amount Discount, POS Percentage Discount | In-store, through the Yuko tile in Shopify POS | * The **Shopify POS** section appears only after you connect the [Shopify POS integration](/integrations/shopify-pos). POS rewards show a **POS** badge in the rewards list. * Channels are kept apart: online rewards can't be redeemed at POS, and POS rewards can't be redeemed online. * **Store Credit** is only offered on Shopify stores. * Free Product and Store Credit are available on select plans. ## All reward types Fixed amount off in exchange for points. Percentage off, with an optional maximum discount amount. A chosen product at no cost. Free shipping, with optional country and rate restrictions. Convert points into Shopify store credit. Fixed amount off, redeemed in-store at Shopify POS. A customer has enough points for an active reward. 2. The reward appears in your loyalty widgets (for example the Cart Redeem widget, the customer account page or the rewards landing page), or in the Yuko tile at Shopify POS for POS rewards. 3. The customer redeems it. Yuko deducts the points and creates a single-use Shopify discount code for that customer. Store Credit is the exception: it adds Shopify store credit to the customer's account instead. 4. The customer applies the code at checkout, or the cashier applies it at POS. 5. Yuko logs the redemption in the customer's activity. ## Common settings Every reward has: * **Reward Name** — the customer-facing name. Supports the shortcodes `[points_required]`, `[reward_value]` and `[points_label]`, which are resolved on the storefront (Free Product and Free Shipping support `[points_required]` and `[points_label]`). * **Description** — short copy shown with the reward. POS rewards have no description. * **Status** — enable or disable the reward from the side panel. * **Icon** — **Default** or **Custom** (upload your own image, under 1MB). * **Rewards Summary** — a live summary of what you've configured. You can drag rewards in the list to change the order customers see them in. ## Decision guidance * **Start with one reward.** Amount Discount is the simplest way to prove the earn-and-redeem loop works. * **Use Store Credit** for a flexible balance that doesn't feel like a coupon. * **Use Free Product** to move specific inventory or give customers a tangible perk. * **Use Free Shipping** where shipping costs drive cart abandonment. * **Add POS rewards** if you sell in person, so in-store customers can spend the same points. ## Best practices **Make the cheapest reward reachable in 2–3 orders.** If it takes 10 orders to get anything, customers lose interest. **Keep the reward menu short.** 3–4 well-priced rewards beat 12 mediocre ones. **Test redemption end-to-end** as a real customer before launch, online and at POS. ## Related Configure how customers earn points across your store.
