# Facebook Like

> Reward customers with points for liking your Facebook page.

## Introduction

Award customers a one-time bonus when they like your Facebook page through the loyalty widget.

## What problem this solves

Growing a Facebook page audience organically is hard. A small points reward gets your existing customers to take a 2-second action that compounds your social proof.

## When to use

* You have an active Facebook page.
* Your audience is on Facebook in non-trivial numbers.
* You want a low-friction earning action with a one-time cap.

## Overview

* One-time reward per customer.
* Configured with your Facebook page URL.
* Verification is intent-based (the customer clicks through to like).
* Optional points expiry.

## Before you start

<Check>Yuko app is installed on your Shopify store — see [Install Yuko on Shopify](/installation-and-setup/install-on-shopify).</Check>
<Check>The Yuko **Theme App Embed** is enabled in your active theme.</Check>
<Check>Your loyalty program is enabled at **Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Settings**.</Check>
<Check>Points label and currency are configured.</Check>

<Check>You have an active Facebook business page.</Check>

## Setup guide

    In your Shopify admin, go to **Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Ways to Earn → Facebook Like**.

  <Step title="Set details and points">
    Enter campaign name, description and points value (e.g., `10`).

  <Step title="Add your Facebook page URL">
    Paste the full URL to your Facebook page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure expiry (optional)">
    Set expiry if desired.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save & activate">
    Toggle **Active** and click **Save**.

## How it works

* The action appears in the loyalty widget on the storefront.
* The customer clicks through to your Facebook page in a new tab.
* They click Like on Facebook.
* Yuko credits the points (intent-based verification — see Limitations).

### Decision guidance

* **Keep the bonus modest** (5–15 points). It's a low-friction one-time action.
* **Don't run all social campaigns at once** — pick the 2–3 networks where your audience actually engages.

### Limitations

* Facebook restricts programmatic verification of likes; verification is intent-based.
* One-time per customer; subsequent likes don't earn.

* A beauty brand awards 10 points for a Facebook Like, expiring in 30 days.

## Best practices

<Tip>**Audit the audience match before running.** If your customers aren't on Facebook, this campaign yields little.</Tip>
