# Product & Collection Multiplier Booster

> Multiply the points earned on selected products or collections only. Everything else in the order earns at the standard rate.

<Note>
  **Where to find this:** Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Programs → Booster Campaigns → Create campaign → **Product & Collection Multiplier**
</Note>

## Overview

A Product & Collection Multiplier boosts points only for the part of an order that matches the products or collections you pick. If a customer buys a boosted item and a regular item in one order, only the boosted item's share of the order earns the multiplied points.

It always works on the **Place an order** Way to Earn.

## Why you need it?

A store-wide multiplier rewards whatever the customer happens to buy. When you want to steer attention to a launch, a hero category or overstock, you need the boost to apply to those products only, so you don't pay extra points on everything else.

## When to use it?

* You're launching a new collection and want to drive traffic to it.
* You want to move slow-selling or overstocked items without marking them down.
* You want a permanent earning advantage on a high-margin category.
* You want to promote a seasonal range (gifting, summer, back-to-school) for a few weeks.

## Before you start

## How to configure it?

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Booster Campaigns">
    Go to **Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Loyalty → Programs**. In the **Booster Campaigns** section, click **Create campaign** and select **Product & Collection Multiplier**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in Campaign Details">
    Enter a **Campaign Name** (internal) and an optional **Description**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select products and collections">
    In **Products & Collections**, click **Browse** next to **Products** and/or **Collections** and pick the items. You must select at least one product or collection.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the Multiplier reward">
    Click **Add Reward**. Enter a **Name** (visible on the storefront) and the **Multiplier**, a value between 1.1 and 10.0. The campaign has exactly one reward.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set targeting and limits (optional)">
    Add **Targeting Rules** such as **VIP Tiers**, **Customer Tags** or **Membership**. Set **Max participants** and **Max completions per customer** if needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the schedule">
    **One-time**, **Recurring** or **Evergreen (always on)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set stacking">
    Keep **Stackable with other campaigns** checked, or uncheck it to make the campaign exclusive. Check **Ignore if customer earned VIP tier multiplier** to skip the boost on orders where the customer's VIP tier already gave them a bonus.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review display, publishing and icon">
    The **Body text** widget label defaults to *"Earn extra points on selected products & collections while this campaign is live."* Available tokens: `[title]`, `[reward]`, `[points_label]`. Keep **Online store** selected under **Publishing** and choose an **Icon**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    **Status** is enabled by default. Click **Save**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How it works

1. A customer places an order and earns their normal **Place an order** points.
2. Yuko works out how much of the order subtotal comes from the selected products or collections.
3. The bonus is **base points × (eligible subtotal ÷ order subtotal) × (multiplier − 1)**, credited as a separate entry.
4. If nothing in the order matches, no bonus is added.

**Example:** a 2× campaign on your *New Arrivals* collection. A customer places a $100 order (earning 100 base points) where $60 is from *New Arrivals*. They get 100 × 0.6 × 1 = **60 bonus points**, for 160 in total.

## Use cases / Examples

**1. Collection launch week.** 2× on the new collection for its first week (**One-time** schedule).

**2. Overstock clearance.** 3× on a specific overstocked product for 10 days, instead of a markdown.

**3. Evergreen hero category.** 1.5× on your highest-margin collection, always on, so customers learn which range earns fastest.

**4. VIP-only launch.** 2× on a new collection with a **VIP Tiers** rule for your top tier, as an early-access perk.

## FAQs

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can I use this with a store-wide Multiplier at the same time?">
    Yes. If both campaigns are stackable, a matching order gets both bonuses. Each bonus is calculated on the base order points, so they add up rather than multiply each other.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I choose an earning action other than Place an order?">
    No. This type only works on orders, because it needs the order's items to check against your selection.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why can't I add Products or Collections targeting rules?">
    This type has its own **Products & Collections** picker, so those targeting rules aren't offered.
