# BotSpace

> Connect BotSpace as your WhatsApp Business API provider — template messages via a channel-and-template ID pair, from any Yuko workflow.

<Note>
  **Where to find this:** Shopify admin → Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Integrations → BotSpace
</Note>

## Introduction

[BotSpace](https://www.bot.space) is a WhatsApp Business API platform focused on conversation automation for e-commerce. Once connected, the [WhatsApp Workflow node](/workflows/whatsapp-node) can send BotSpace templates whenever a loyalty event fires.

For the provider-agnostic overview, see [WhatsApp](/integrations/whatsapp).

## When to use BotSpace

* You already use BotSpace for WhatsApp support / chat automation.
* You want a lightweight setup: template ID + parameters, no extra bells.
* You need to route sends across multiple channels (multiple WhatsApp numbers) from the same account.

## Before you start

<Check>You have an active BotSpace account with WhatsApp Business API.</Check>
<Check>You have at least one **approved** BotSpace template.</Check>
<Check>You have your BotSpace API key.</Check>
<Check>You know your **Channel ID** from the BotSpace dashboard.</Check>

## Connect BotSpace to Yuko

<Steps>
  <Step title="Get your BotSpace API key">
    Log in to BotSpace → **Settings → API**. Copy the API key and note the Channel ID.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open BotSpace in Yuko">
    In Shopify admin, go to **Apps → Yuko Loyalty → Integrations**, pick the **WhatsApp** category from the left sidebar, and click **BotSpace**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste the API key and Connect">
    Paste the key and click **Connect**. The tile flips to **Connected**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a BotSpace step to a workflow">
    Open any workflow, click **+**, pick **WhatsApp**, and select **BotSpace** in the provider dropdown.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Configure the BotSpace step in a workflow

| Field                        | What it is                                                                                         | Example                                |
| ---------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Channel ID** | BotSpace channel ID for the WhatsApp number to send from | `your-channel-id` |
| **Template ID** | Approved template identifier from your BotSpace dashboard | `loyalty_points_earned` |
| **Template Parameter Count** | Number of body variables (1–25)                                                                    | `2`                                    |
| **Template Parameters**      | One value per body variable — supports [shortcodes](/workflows/whatsapp-node#available-shortcodes) | `{{first_name}}`, `{{points_balance}}` |

Template parameters are **positional** — they fill the template's `{{1}}`, `{{2}}`, ... placeholders in order.

## Example use case

**Points earned confirmation**

1. In BotSpace, approve a template called `loyalty_points_earned` with two body variables. Note the Channel ID and Template ID.
2. In Yuko Workflows, build: **Trigger: Points Awarded** → **WhatsApp (BotSpace)**.
3. Configure: Channel ID, Template ID = `loyalty_points_earned`, Parameter Count = `2`, Parameters = `{{first_name}}`, `{{points_earned}}`.
4. Activate.

## Limitations

* **Approved templates only.** BotSpace enforces Meta template approval.
* **No template authoring inside Yuko.** Edit templates in the BotSpace dashboard.
* **Positional parameters** — order matters, names don't.
* **No per-message delivery status surfaced in Yuko.** Check the BotSpace dashboard for delivered / read events.
